Teaching

I currently serve on the faculties of the University of Miami Frost School of Music, and Miami Dade College Kendall Campus.

Teaching has been my life's dream for as long as I can remember. I have always been deeply impacted by my students and their desire to succeed. My teaching style is student-driven, instilling practical skills individually curated to each student with the expectation that they are able to replicate them once our time together is complete.

I have a specific passion for evidence-based vocal pedagogy and frequently incorporate it into my teaching. My former students are currently enrolled in various music schools across the country including Florida State University, University of Memphis, Florida International University, and University of Maryland, while others are performing in ensembles and young artist programs as they further their careers.

I am not taking private students at this time.

I sincerely enjoy giving guest masterclasses and lectures on special topics, such as my research on combined respiratory muscle training, underrepresented womxn and LGBTQ+ composers, and other subjects related to music and pedagogy. I would love to be in touch regarding any guest opportunities.
